TED commissioned a short film to play at their annual conference. The prompt was to make something in response to the theme: The Age of Amazement. Our short asks the question: Can visual illusions be a cure for polarization?  

The premise is that illusions can be a reminder of hubris and a reflection of how our brains are apt to make mistakes while interpreting the world. A visual illusion upends our complete certainty from one moment to another, perhaps a helpful reminder that what we see as certain truth in religion, politics, and economics can often be turned upside down with a shift of perspective. The piece is an invitation for viewers to bring more open-mindedness into their daily lives.
